Color me beautiful

I have talked about colors in many occasions earlier, but they just do not stop fascinating me. What colors make me happy, which I just can't stand and which ones go together. I keep getting back to basic stripes, they definitely make me happy. I also love the feedback I am getting from my customers, there seems to be other stripe-lovers out there, too.

As a knitter and a felter I use the colors my supplier have, and I have been more than happy with their choice. I admire people who dye their yarns and even more so if they use natural ingredients only though. Oh those shades! That said I have no time, skills or even enthusiasm enough for that. I happily shop beautiful hand dyed yarn (for myself or as gift) but that's it.

I keep experimenting with colors, and it always excites me when I put together two colors I am not sure at the beginning. That said I am absolutely not sure of this latest choice of mine - but we'll see, I have been surprised (in a good way, really) before. I'll show it to you when I'm done.

Oh dear.

Happy, colorful and sunny weekend to you!

Stripes are great Mia, they add even more colour to your beautiful work.

The first thing I thought when I saw your newest pairing was, Piglet from Winnie the pooh. I adore dear little piglet (well OK I confess I adore all things piggy). They also bring to mind Bagpuss and The Clangers, all my lovely childhood characters!
So carry on....this will be a great colour combo.
Have a busy, worry free day and a great weekend, Love Jane x

And Piglet, that's it! The colors are so him (he's a he isn't he?) and his striped sweater-catsuit-outfit :) that made me smile So MUCH!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Mia

Hi Lisa!

So you´re a stripe-lover too, wonderful! I try other things but ALWAYS seem to come back to stripes :) And you're SO right with "no one will ever buy this" and then it's gone in a minute. So there are others out there... ;)

Have a great, sunny and happy weekend!

Yours,
Mia

Yep, definitely Piglet and I think, very cute together.

I love the colour charts photo, especially all the felting wool dots lined up together, I am a sucker for colour charts generally, but added to the tactile feel of wool, even more so.

Enjoy playing with your colours :)

Hi Beth!

So that one is officially Piglet-bag now :)

I love the color charts too, and always get them even I know I can't afford to buy that specific wool/bamboo/silk whatever beautiful yarn they have available. That wool dots-chart shows the colors of felting wools available on my supplier's stash, and it's so much easier to order with that than try to guess from the computer screen. And I just love to study it!

Have a happy and creative weekend!

Yours,
Mia

Colour charts are such great fun, aren't they!
Stripes are great, as for colour combinations I think whatever mix you come up with it will be to someone's taste.
Love the 'Piglet Bag'!!
Have a brilliant weekend Mia. :)

The stripes are great and don't you find that once something is felted it takes on another dimension?
I'm sure the bag will be a definite 'seller'.

Wonderful to have you back - is your computer up and running perfectly again?

This time of the year...

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
